Culture Shock

The definition of culture shock is” A condition of confusion and anxiety affecting a person suddenly exposed to an alien culture or milieu.”(free dictionary). Every foreigner could meet the culture shock. However, for me, I didn’t feel very strong. I will explain the reasons in the next paragraph.

First of all, I grew up in a historical city and my flat was near a national park which was built by the ruin of Zhou Dynasty. In every year, when peony was blooming, a lot of foreign tourists came to my hometown and enjoyed the beautiful flowers. In that time, my parents always took me to the park and because my dad could speak English, he could talk with the foreigners. I could feel the friendly and passionately in that atmosphere. As a result, I thought that culture shock was not important, people just wanted to know the different cultures.

Secondly,  in this year, I came to UK for studying the postgraduate course. The new culture and new world in this wonderful country brought a refreshing energy to me. I could not feel the culture shock. nearby me. However, I felt the polite distance between British people. Sometimes the beautiful views made me comfortable.

In the end, I  want to tell everybody. Culture shock depends on people themselves. If we prepare to go to other culture,  the books about this culture would help people to solve this problem.

An Interesting Tour In Wales

In Sunday, I went to the Wales. The landscape in wales was so charming. There were a great number of lambs in the grass which looked like the green huge blanket. The stretch of hills were located in the front of my eyes . The air was refreshing and we were intoxicated in there. The trees were luxuriantly green. What a gorgeous view!

In the first part of journey, we took the steam train from Llangollen to Carro. It was a classical steam train and the workers were all wearing the past customs. Through the sound of steam energy, the train run across the grass land and the mountains. Different beauty landscape were keeping changes in front of my eyes. Due to the limited time in this part, we had to eat the cake in the train. The cake was the ‘giant muffin’ and the hot chocolate was wonderful.

In the next place,we went to the Chirk Castle, we found the castle was different style comparing Chinese Architecture. The material of castle was made by stones, but in China, it made by wood. The furniture in dinning room was the Victoria Style and the whole rooms was looked like old fashion style. I was lucky to find a cat sitting by the windows. Ha!

An Interesting Story(Iris, Joanna,Candice,Lux)

Once I met an interviewee who was weird and unco-operative. He was an un predictable protector and I got a strong feeling of anti-social from him. He invented me to join a party which was an organization against the government symbolically. It is such a coincidental experience. I have never meet before. After interview, I suggest the government officer to cancel this division.

Ending:I  want a security environment to survive. The government should take some actions to solve these problems. If someday, the life still continuing in this way, I will be the next weird interviewees.

About The Capital Punishment

In the last week, my classmates and I talked a topic about the Capital Punishment. I will agree with the law of Capital Punishment and explain the reasons. First of all,  the criminal have to receive the deserved punishment. The innocent lives had been killed by these criminals and the family of victims have to some comfort. Secondly, stringent laws will be lead the positive efforts of criminals and commit crimes who are afraid of laws. For instance, there is a law of public security in Singapore, if the thieves steel the purse in the street and polices meet that screen, they will have to get the punishment of hands amputation. The last point is that society give the forgiveness to criminals which is equivalent to enhance the danger risk in the future. One mistake is for one regret. However, if every people have mistake to ask for the forgiveness of the God, we can make the more mistake for the forgiveness. In my opinion, the Capital Punishment is the strong weapon to fight with evils.

Above of all, these are my views of Capital Punishment. I hope there will be no more worried about the security.

Describe a job which I want to do in the future

I think I will be a landscape designer in the future. My job have to use some professional softwares like Photoshop CS, 3D and Skecthup. Sometimes it is like an computer operator. However, the designer have to draw some drafts in the paper and find some advantages and disadvantages of project. Then they will give their suggest to reconstruction or change a few of details in the new plan. After a few of working days, a new landscape will  be shown on the draft program. In addition, designers have to keep a continuing connection with the customs and construction team. Finally, a completed program will be ended.

The reason of being a designer is that it is my dreaming job of my childhood. When I was 5 years old, my parents gave me a set of Lego as a birthday gift. I always watch some new buildings in my hometown and build a same one with Lego. I am interested in this job through my childhood and I never think to live without it. Secondly, in my opinion, I will feel satisfy when I design the project to be reality. In that time, I will pride what contribution am I make.

Above of all, that is my job which I want to do in the future.

The Library Tour In City Center Campus

Abigail and I went to the library in city center campus yesterday. The new building of library was modern style and we were so excited. There were different kinds of rooms like workshop, computer room, communication area. My main course was in 4th floor and I would like studying and reading in the following days. Especially, Professor James told us we were the first students use this building.

I also felt a little bit of uncomfortable today. First reason is that we chosen the wrong transportation to city center. Because I thought the speed of train was faster than bus,  when I got on the train ,I was wrong. It was slowly and the station of city center had a long distance from campus. It had to take a long time for walking. Finally, thank god! I arrived in the library. The second reason is my ID card didn’t work when I had to entry the library and nobody wanted to help us. The guardian allowed us to come in the library and told  us which staff should we find to solve these ID problems. When we found the  Help Desk, one teacher told me to go to IT Help Desk. However, I found the IT Help Desk, but the staff told us to return to the  Help Desk. How surprising system it was!

I hoped I would have better tour than this one.
